“Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.” - Jessica Jackley
Ever wonder what tasks or how to delegate tasks to your Virtual Assistant? Or what about giving clear instructions, so your Virtual Assistant will do the work right for your business, because with me, I make sure the work I do includes your personality, since it is YOUR BUSINESS, and not mine!
Below I will give you some tips to remember when you are ready to finally hire that Virtual Assistant to help you with your workload!

First and foremost, it's important to think about what tasks you are able to delegate and what tasks you need to keep for yourself. Once you have identified which tasks you can assign to a virtual assistant, you should create a list of specific instructions on how to complete each task.
For example, if you want them to create a PowerPoint presentation, you'll need to provide instructions on the content you'd like included and the design elements you'd like the presentation to include. Additionally, you can assign tasks such as creating and responding to emails, data entry, managing your calendar, scheduling and attending virtual meetings, creating and managing social media content, researching topics, and more.
Now, when giving instructions to your virtual assistant, it is important to be as clear and concise as possible. Start by providing an overview of the task and its purpose, then provide a step-by-step guide on how to complete the task. Make sure to provide specific details and any resources needed for the task. It is also helpful to provide an estimated timeline for completing the task and check in with your assistant regularly to ensure the task is being completed correctly. Finally, make sure to provide feedback on the task and offer any suggestions for improvement or any changes you would like to make to the work, because like I said above, this is YOUR business, not mine. 🙂
